The Friendship Force International Board of Directors has established a special award, the Wayne Smith Medal, to recognize those who have shown exceptional leadership in advancing the Friendship Force mission in their communities.

The medal may recognize exceptional leadership from within the club, or it may be presented to those in the broader community whose lives reflect the Friendship Force mission. Those who receive the award join a distinguished group of exemplary leaders around the world.
